Giant has just dropped the shoe, literally, with the new Charge gravel/XC shoe and the Shuttle trail shoe. Sister brand Liv have also announced their own trail-ready women’s-specific Shuttle with the Tesca gravel/XC option for riders chasing comfort and efficiency. All Giant branded shoes are available in sizes 41–47, and Liv in 37–43.

The Giant and Liv Shuttle

The Shuttle is the go-to trail shoe, available in clipless and flat options in Giant models, with Liv offering clipless only at this stage.

The Shuttle range features an ergonomic fit, with tunable arch support and uber-grippy Vibram Megagrip outsole, with L6 BOA and Lace versions in the clipless models, with women’s specific designs for the Liv range. For the Giant Shuttle, the Flat range features the lace and clipless models, still packed with all the same features as the clipless options.

Liv Shuttle Clipless Boa (Black) – $279.99 (also available in a laces option – $219.99)
Giant Shuttle Clipless Boa (available in black and grey) – $279.99
Giant Shuttle Clipless Boa (available in black and grey) – $279.99
Giant Shuttle Clipless Laces –$219.99 & Giant Shuttle Flat Lace – $199.99

The Giant Charge and Liv Tesca

Described as ‘Gravel and XC range designed for all-day comfort and efficiency’ the Tesca 1 sits at an intermediate price point for riders increasing their involvement in the sport, or those looking to upgrade to clipless pedals for the first time.

Liv have upped the technology with the Tesca 1, and really looked to build a shoe optimised for women’s feet. Using 3D foot-scanning technology to create a shoe for the feet of actual women, the Tesca 1 features a one-piece upper and a narrower heel and lower volume forefoot matched with roomy toeboxes plus tunable arch support. Double BOA dials are specced to optimising comfort on the go and they feature a stiff carbon composite outsole, with lugs for walkability – if you have to!

Liv Tesca Gravel and XC shoe

On the Giant side of things, the launch of the new Charge gravel/XC shoe features 3 new models: the Charge 1, Charge 2 and Charge 3.

Giant Charge MTB and gravel shoe

The Charge 1 mirrors the Liv Tesca 1, with a one-piece upper and tunable arch support system, with double L6 BOA retention and a carbon composite outside with walkability – just in case you get caught in the washing machine at the start of an XC race. The Charge 2 features molded-in arch support (unlike the adjustable arch support of the Charge 1), a single BOA L6/strap retention system, and a nylon and glass fiber composite plate. The Charge 3 features a nylon and glass fiber composite plate with a single BOA retention system.
