Saturday marked the second day of racing and expo events at the 2025 Sea Otter Australia. Racing was fast and furious, featuring the Fox Superflow, Smith Optics Enduro, and the Muc Off Ottercross events. But while the pace was high between the tape, the expo was exploding with people, athletes, and exhibitors.

At the end of a big day at the festival, our crew was exhausted – but here’s a recap of what we explored while soaking up the festival vibes.
Hot new products
With huge industry representation, Sea Otter Australia is the place to see and touch brand-new products. From the Fox Podium fork to the new Norco Revolver and a range of bike racks and clothing, there was plenty to see, feel, and try.

Athletes
From Jack Moir and Luke Meier-Smith to Sian A’Hearn, the who’s-who of Australian mountain biking were out in force at the expo. Few places allow the public direct access to their riding idols, but Sea Otter gives fans the chance to interact with World Cup talent – whether at a pizza party with Jack Moir or a Gelati Party hosted by Smith Optics with Bailey Christie.

Racing in the expo
The expo, set on the Batemans Bay footy field right on the cusp of the beach, featured a Velosolutions-crafted pump track and a dedicated jump line with airbags to refine your airtime. Many race events start and finish around the expo, but none are more immersive than the EOtterX and Muc Off Ottercross races. Today saw the Muc Off Ottercross – Sea Otter’s cyclocross event – complete with a beach section, plenty of running, and a massive ramp ride-over to finish. Neat!

General vibes
Both participants and industry insiders have been stunned by the size and energy of the Sea Otter Australia expo. With trails just minutes from the hub, and races and social rides (like the Juliana Women’s Ride) launching from the centre, the atmosphere is buzzing. From food samples and giveaways to haircuts, snacks, and racing, Sea Otter really demonstrates why it’s Australia’s ultimate playground for mountain bikers of all ages. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re here to race, ride, or just soak up the festival vibes.
