Campagnolo’s New Super Record X – Built for Gravel
Bellissimo
Campagnolo has officially rolled out its new Super Record Wireless 13 platform, and this time, it’s heading off road. The all new Super Record X marks Campagnolo’s first dedicated wireless 1×13-speed groupset explicitly built for gravel riding.
For decades, the Italian brand has been synonymous with precision and performance. Now, it’s turning that same attention to detail toward gravel riders who want the brand’s classic feel and engineering, but on a bike built for adventure.
What’s new
The Super Record X keeps Campagnolo’s trademark style, with exposed carbon, subtle branding, and an unmistakably clean finish, but adapts everything for rougher terrain.

There’s a single ring crankset with eight chainring options (from 38 T to 52 T) and a new long cage rear derailleur fitted with a Nano Clutch to keep chain tension steady over rough terrain. Two cassette options (9–42T and 10–48T) deliver a huge gear range without significant jumps between ratios, and the updated Ultra-Torque bottom bracket promises smooth, efficient power transfer.

Campagnolo has even reworked the rear derailleur’s structure, reinforcing it to cope with rock strikes and vibration, a strong feature for gravel and adventure riding in any capacity.
Why it matters
The launch is a big move for gravel riders. Campagnolo’s first wireless 1x system signals that we might see more innovation from them in the gravel domain.

The new platform also ties neatly into Campagnolo’s Bora X wheelset, which is designed to match the groupset. With a 50 mm rim profile, 27 mm internal width, and a hooked design suited to tyres from 35 mm upwards, the Bora X aims to balance aerodynamics with vibration damping.
Our take
We’ve had a brief first look at the Super Record X, and it’s clear that Campagnolo’s bringing genuine performance pedigree to the dirt.
We’ll be putting the new Super Record X through a full review soon, so stay tuned for that deep dive. In the meantime, you can watch our review of the Campagnolo Zonda GT wheelset and Ekar GT groupset to see how the latest Campy kit handles the trails.
