Trek Release new Fuel+ EX

Trek’s do-it-all e-bike gets a makeover

Anna Beck 11.08.2025

Alongside the new Trek Fuel EX, Trek have launched the new Fuel+ EX e-bike. Replacing the Fuel Exe, this marks a slightly altered second generation of the Fuel+ Ex. The updated chassis mirrors the changes seen in the Trek Fuel EX release, with the capacity for the bike to be run as a Fuel+ EX (29” bike with 150/145mm travel), MX (160/150mm travel and 29”/27.5”) and LX options (170/160mm 29” bike).

Motor-wise, Trek have gone for the TQ-HPR60 unit, which features 60Nm torque, 300W continuous power and 350W peak power – meaning that the Fuel+ Ex offers a mid-powered experience on the trail.

While Fuel+ MX and LX bikes are available internationally and through Trek’s Project One customisation portal – we will see three models of the Fuel+ EX in Aus – with the models also mirroring the Trek Fuel options. Swapping your Fuel+ EX to an LX or MX model requires rocker links, lower shock mounts and suspension and/or wheels depending on the build you prefer. Trek Australia will be carrying the rocker links and lower shock mounts to change up the Trek Rail+ EX in Aus.
