Today Specialized have launched two new bikes to expand their recently announced Turbo Levo range: the Levo 4 Comp Alloy and Levo 4 Alloy. At $10200 for the Comp Alloy and $8900 for the Alloy model, they offer a more affordable entrance into Specialized’s e-bike range, while retaining some key features of their pricier siblings.

The new M5 alloy models share many features with their carbon counterparts, including the new Specialized 3.1 Motor with 666W and 101Nm torque, the 840Wh battery on all sizes (and capacity to swap to the smaller, lighter 600W option), a mullet wheel setup, MasterMind screen and adjustable geometry. The same chainstay length adjustment, bottom bracket drop and headset angle adjustment that is seen on the carbon Levo’s is replicated here.

Specialized claims that the new drops still feature a range of over 5hrs ride time, though they do qualify this by stating that this is in eco mode with the aftermarket 280Wh range extender. The new alloy variants are available in sizes S1-S6.
By swapping out the Specialized Fact carbon frames for their M5 alloy, Specialized have managed to retain the essence of the Levo – maintaining the adjustable geometry and SWAT storage solutions, while offering different spec options in order to offer a lower priced product.

The Levo 4 Comp Alloy touts a 160mm Fox 38 Rhythm up front with a 150mm GENIE Fox Float X Performance Elite to soak up the chatter. The new SRAM Eagle 90 mechanical drivetrain does the shifting while Maven Bronze brakes take up stopping duty. It’s available in three colourways: Gloss Deep Lake Metallic (deep blue), Satin Dusty Pink and Satin Gunmetal.
The Levo 4 Alloy is sporting a Marzocchi Bomber Z1 with Marzocchi Bomber Inline rear shock, the SRAM Eagle 70 mechanical drivetrain and SRAM DB8 Stealth brakes. The levo 4 is available in Gloss Deep Orange, Satin Cypress Metallic and Gloss Metallic Obsidian.
