Granite Stash Ratchet Tool

If you’re someone who likes to be prepared but dislikes riding with a pack or a pocket full of spares, Granite is coming to the rescue with their new Stash ratchet tool (RT).

Granite Stash RT

The Stash RT features a clever design that’s compatible with all forks (excluding the Fox 38 Performance), using the dead space within the fork steerer to house 9 tool bits and a mini ratchet wrench.

You can even purchase a separate Scope Mount, allowing you to mount a Garmin or Wahoo computer on top of the tool, and the lower cap can be converted to store an Apple AirTag (sold separately). We can’t wait to get out on an adventure with the Stash RT so we can use our pockets for their ultimate purpose: snacks.

SKS Air-X-Plorer Digital Gauge 10.0

In a sport where the difference of one or two PSI can make the difference between a race-winning run and a terminal rim hit, the SKS Air-X-Plorer is a sensible workshop purchase.

With a multi-valve head to accommodate all valve types, the Air-X-Plorer Digi features an LED digital pressure gauge and can deliver pressures up to 10bar (or 145psi). A 1200mm hose length makes inflating tyres a little less tricky in tight spaces, while the soft-touch grip of the handle provides a luxurious pre-ride experience.

Pivot Trailcat SL and Trailcat LT: A Tale of Two Bikes

Pivot Cycles expands its mountain bike lineup with the introduction of the Trailcat SL and Trailcat LT, two new models that cater to distinct riding styles while sharing a common foundation. Replacing the Pivot trail 429, the Trailcat features new generation geometry, carbon frames, new lifetime warranty and two different platforms based around one frame.

A few additional ‘nice-to-have’ features include internal frame storage, a low/high setting (allowing all models and sizes of the Trailcat to operate in a ‘mullet’ 29”/27.5” wheel configuration), UDH, and internal cable routing. Converting your Trailcat SL to an LT model does require different linkage and suspension, but it’s exciting to see brands offering bikes with more customisation options in their builds. But let’s take a quick look at the two models.

Trailcat SL: Built for Speed and Agility

The Trailcat SL is designed for riders who prioritise speed and efficiency. Its lightweight frame, coupled with a responsive suspension featuring 120mm of travel with a dw-link suspension ensures a nimble and lively ride. This is paired up with a 140mm Fox 34 up front, allowing for a more capable ride than a regular cross country bike.

Pivot Trailcat SL

With five build options available from SLX/XT ($9999) to the Team SRAM XX Transmission model with a carbon wheel upgrade ($15999), the Trailcat is a premium offering. The SL model is targeted towards riders prioritising climbing and descending with precision, making it ideal for riders who prefer a lively and energetic ride feel. Cross country riders looking for a little more travel, or trail riders seeking an efficient and responsive ride will also find a friend with the new Trailcat SL.

Trailcat LT: Plush Comfort and Confident Control

The Trailcat LT, with its 135mm of travel and a slightly more relaxed geometry, offers a plusher and more forgiving ride. It’s built for riders who seek out challenges and want confidence on technical terrain, perhaps the enduro rider looking for a more playful rig or the rider looking for a capable everyday ride. The 135mm rear travel of the LT is married up with a 150mm Fox Performance or Factory 36.

The LT is offered in six builds, from $10499.00 to an eye-watering $18999 for the SRAM XX Transmission model.
