The Victorian Downhill series team have been hard at work preparing the 2014/ 2015 series for the masses and they have just revealed the dates and tracks for the coming season. Here’s what they had to say :

“This season is all about rebuilding the series as other disciplines grow in popularity. We also look to grow our alliance with the MTBA and other industry bodies to build a stronger foundation for riders, sponsors and the future growth of our sport.

We at the VDHS, thank the committee and the clubs who have come together to bring this schedule to light. And will be going forward with a full launch in the coming weeks.”

The VDHS is well known for it’s expansive race and track repertoire with rounds generally starting in late november finishing up toward the end of summer. Less rounds, closer gaps between races and the new tie in with nationals for the first round has caused some controversy over on the VDHS Facebook amongst racers whilst others toast the tighter series and changes. With a full announcement due to come out in the coming weeks, we will have to wait and see if anything changes.
