"We've updated everything except the wheel size." Intense introduce the new Carbine.
Intense have announced the brand new Carbine 29 but to the keen eyed it comes at no surprise. Spotted throughout the beginning of the year beneath team Intense team rider Jack Moir. So what's new?
Everything bar the wheelsize according to Intense.
The basics include a geometry update, with a push toward a longer reach to provide a more natural flow driven ride. Not to mention bringing it into the modern riding hemisphere. The JS tune or enduro link has seen some tinkering as well. A new carbon upper link offers the optimum leverage curve and in general the longer links all round, help to boost overall performance. Theres also been a push to a BOOST 148mm rear for some added stiffness.
Suspension also takes a bump, shifting to 155mm in the rear and 160mm up front. Meaning this steed will likely carry you anywhere. Being a high end frame there are a lot of little extra details including intergrated downtube and swingarm protection without affecting the paint scheme. Finally. The new Carbine is available in two types of carbon, standard and SL. The slightly lighter SL frame somes with some select titanium highlights and a special weave to bring it in 200grams lighter. The SL is weave is available in the top three models.
